Wow, I can’t really believe it is MIPIM time again, where’s the year gone!
This year myself and my colleagues, Richard Robins and Roy Carthy will be joining the Manchester delegation leaving for the South of France, hoping to spend the week networking, meeting up with old contacts, whilst making new connections and sharing our growth and development aspirations for the coming years.
2015 was a year of growth for the Group with the completion of our £150m build programme which saw us build just fewer than 1,400 new homes across the region. We also had time to launch our new PRS brand Hive into the market place, building our first development of 106 homes and apartments in Warrington – with 60% being reserved off-plan!
New and exciting technologies helped with the creation of the Hive brand and enabled us to interact with customers before they even knew they were customers, primarily through the use of augmented reality giving people a sneak peek into the world of Hive before the first brick was even laid! We didn’t stop there; we also managed to squeeze in the launch of no less than six brand new retirement living developments, totalling over 500 new apartments for people aged 55+ and making us the UK’s leading provider of state-of-the-art retirement living facilities.
2016 doesn’t seem to be slowing down either with the announcement earlier this month that our ambition to build a £10m hotel in the heart of Anfield, Liverpool has been given the green light by Liverpool City Council and our growth aspirations for Hive continue to gather pace, with many Manchester based plates currently spinning!
And I haven’t even mentioned our build programme of 1,000 homes!
